Recruitment Fraud Warning!

Fake Job Postings and False Hiring Processes: What you should watch out for.

Please beware of phishing scams involving phony job postings being posted on external sites and direct offering a job.

Over the last year, there have been numerous instances where individuals have been posing as Oxitone representatives using fake emails and making fake job offers. This is an issue we take very seriously, and we work with the appropriate authorities on an ongoing basis to address them. By making you aware of these scams, we hope to avoid, and ultimately prevent, unsuspecting individuals from falling victim.

Here are a few things to be aware of in order to help identify recruitment fraud:

When you are contacted by the Oxitone Medical, the email address will always end with “”.

If you receive email correspondence from, or any free web-based e-mail account such as,,,,, etc., it is most likely phony.

Frequently, perpetrators of recruitment fraud will conduct the entire hiring process over email, and will often ask candidates to complete bogus recruitment documentation, such as Form W-4, Form I-9. Also, they attach Oxitone Business Code of Conduct, Oxitone Job Offer or terms and conditions of employment signed by the fake signatures of the Oxitone executives. In these cases, the Oxitone name, executives’ names and logo may fraudulently be featured on the documentation. We have also found that recruitment scams can take place over Telegram or other text messaging. Perpetrators frequently use local presence dialing technology to mask their phone number.

Beware if individuals make early requests for personal information such as your date of birth, passport details, bank details, social security number, etc.

With perpetrators of recruitment fraud, there is usually an insistence on urgency to get a candidate hired. Use caution.
